BANK OF GHANA .

Good day,
I am Mr. Sam Okudzeto, the Director Bills & Exchange . I personally discovered a dormant account with a total sum of $39,000,000.00 (THIRTY NINE MILLION UNITED STATE DOLLARS) during our Bank's Annual Year Account Auditing.

The owner of this dormant account died on 5th Jan 2005. Since the death of the deceased, nobody has operated in this account till date. Moreover, this account has NO BENEFICIARY attached to it. Definitely, this fund will be confiscated by our BANKING CODE OF ETHICS if it remains dormant for a period of (3) years without any claims. In this regard, I earnestly need your full cooperation in transferring this dormant fund out of our bank to avoid confiscating this fund. I will split the transfer into two 2 stages for easy and smooth transfer.

First, I will transfer $9,000,000.00 to any valid foreign account you will nominate, upon a successful transfer without any disappointment from your side, I will then fly to meet you in your home destination for sharing, and thereafter we jointly transfer the remaining balance of $30,000,000.00 for magnitude investments.

If you are willing to cooperate in this project, I will give you details immediately as soon as I hear from you. Please note that you are required to keep very confidential

=========================== TODAY'S ARTICLE ==========================

It Is Finished, by Phil Ware

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is
finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit (John 19:30
NASB).

"It is finished!"

If you are like me, you find it hard to imagine these words describing
your life's work. For years, I had a cartoon outside my office door
that read, "If everyone is assigned a certain amount of work to
complete in a lifetime, at this rate, I'm going to live another 100
years!" My problem is that I would have to add, "And I'm falling more
and more behind each day." "It is finished."

Jesus' last words on the Cross are both startling and a little
confusing. The Greek word behind the translation "finished" could be
understood with different shades of meaning.

Jesus could be saying that all his work is "completed" -- that he had
gotten everything done he was supposed to do.

On the other hand, Jesus could be meaning that the debt of humanity's
sin had been "paid," as a number of popular authors have emphasized.

Or, Jesus could be meaning that life was "over" and he had no more time
on earth to do his Father's work -- something that he clearly seems to
suggest throughout the Gospel of John, especially chapters 13-17.

Or Jesus could be saying that his primary mission in coming to earth
was fully "accomplished" even though there was clearly more that he
could do to bless people if he continued living.

Another possible shade of meaning is that Jesus is saying that he had
"passed" the test he was given by the whole ordeal of the Passion and
his battle with the prince or ruler of this world was won.

"It is finished."

The way John often uses words to carry a number of different meanings
suggests that as he translated Jesus' Aramaic words into Greek, he
specifically chose a word to carry all of these nuances. Each is
especially appropriate as a description of what Jesus did for us on the
Cross. Don't you find it amazing that Jesus could live only 33 years
and that any of them be true, much less all of them.

"It is finished."

Jesus lived with passion. He loved with boundless grace. He was
merciful with wide-eyed joy. He was caring, sacrificial, strong,
compassionate, empathetic, bold, daring, authoritative, and tender. We
don't have enough time or space to adequately describe all that he did.
John's own description is powerfully true when we consider all that
Jesus finished, completed, paid, accomplished, and passed before his
physical life was over. John said it this way:

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were
written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have
room for the books that would be written (John 21:25 TNIV).

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples,
which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you
may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by
believing you may have life in his name (John 20:30-31 TNIV).

"It is finished."

When I get to the end of each day, I'm always amazed at how much I
didn't get done that day. I can't imagine looking up from my deathbed
and asking the Father to take me home forever because I've done all I
was supposed to do. Jesus could, because he did!

"It is finished."

Yes, Jesus paid it all. He finished God's work for him. He faced his
death with love, grace, and forgiveness even when he was treated
harshly, fully paying our debt to ransom us from our sin. When Jesus'
earthly life was over, he was certain that he accomplished what God had
sent him to do and that he had passed every single test that had been
thrown at him. He completed what he had come to earth to do. And he did
it all in just a little over 3 decades of time and taking every
Saturday off so he could go to the synagogue. Amazing!

"It is finished."

And how did he do this? What was his secret? He lived his life to
please the Father:

My food," Jesus said, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to
finish his work" (John 4:34 TNIV).

"It is finished."

I'm going to have to live to do the Father's will!

I'm always amazed at how much I didn't get done. This realization
leaves me with two powerful convictions.

First, if I am ever going to get any sense of accomplishment out of my
life, then I'm going to have to live to do the Father's will and seek
to complete his work in my life.

Second, I find my motivation to that in the amazing love and sacrifice
of Jesus. I want to live for him and honor his sacrifice for me so that
when my time comes to leave this earth, I can also say ...

"It is finished."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

How you will know when you’ve done what the Lord has put you on earth
to do?

Do you believe you were put on earth by God with a specific purpose and
specific things you were supposed to do?

How do you know what those are?

Do you think you will realize when you have “finished” what God put you
on earth to do?

What do you think Jesus means when he cries, “It is finished”?

I’d really love to hear from you on this in the response on my blog:

Morning & Evening -- Job 29:2 and 2 Thessalonians 2:16

-/\/\-----------------------------------------------------------------
\ / Charles Spurgeon's MORNING & EVENING http://www.heartlight.org/
--\/------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday, August 11, 2008

MORNING:

"Oh that I were as in months past."
-- Job 29:2

Numbers of Christians can view the past with pleasure, but regard the
present with dissatisfaction; they look back upon the days which they
have passed in communing with the Lord as being the sweetest and the
best they have ever known, but as to the present, it is clad in a sable
garb of gloom and dreariness. Once they lived near to Jesus, but now
they feel that they have wandered from him, and they say, "O that I
were as in months past!" They complain that they have lost their
evidences, or that they have not present peace of mind, or that they
have no enjoyment in the means of grace, or that conscience is not so
tender, or that they have not so much zeal for God's glory. The causes
of this mournful state of things are manifold. It may arise through a
comparative neglect of prayer, for a neglected closet is the beginning
of all spiritual decline. Or it may be the result of idolatry. The
heart has been occupied with something else, more than with God; the
affections have been set on the things of earth, instead of the things
of heaven. A jealous God will not be content with a divided heart; he
must be loved first and best. He will withdraw the sunshine of his
presence from a cold, wandering heart. Or the cause may be found in
self-confidence and self-righteousness. Pride is busy in the heart, and
self is exalted instead of lying low at the foot of the cross.
Christian, if you are not now as you "were in months past," do not rest
satisfied with wishing for a return of former happiness, but go at once
to seek your Master, and tell him your sad state. Ask his grace and
strength to help you to walk more closely with him; humble yourself
before him, and he will lift you up, and give you yet again to enjoy
the light of his countenance. Do not sit down to sigh and lament; while
the beloved Physician lives there is hope, nay there is a certainty of
recovery for the worst cases.

EVENING:

"Everlasting consolation."
-- 2 Thessalonians 2:16

"Consolation." There is music in the word: like David's harp, it charms
away the evil spirit of melancholy. It was a distinguished honour to
Barnabas to be called "the son of consolation"; nay, it is one of the
illustrious names of a greater than Barnabas, for the Lord Jesus is
"the consolation of Israel." "Everlasting consolation"-here is the
cream of all, for the eternity of comfort is the crown and glory of it.
What is this "everlasting consolation"? It includes a sense of pardoned
sin. A Christian man has received in his heart the witness of the
Spirit that his iniquities are put away like a cloud, and his
transgressions like a thick cloud. If sin be pardoned, is not that an
everlasting consolation? Next, the Lord gives his people an abiding
sense of acceptance in Christ. The Christian knows that God looks upon
him as standing in union with Jesus. Union to the risen Lord is a
consolation of the most abiding order; it is, in fact, everlasting. Let
sickness prostrate us, have we not seen hundreds of believers as happy
in the weakness of disease as they would have been in the strength of
hale and blooming health? Let death's arrows pierce us to the heart,
our comfort dies not, for have not our ears full often heard the songs
of saints as they have rejoiced because the living love of God was shed
abroad in their hearts in dying moments? Yes, a sense of acceptance in
the Beloved is an everlasting consolation. Moreover, the Christian has
a conviction of his security. God has promised to save those who trust
in Christ: the Christian does trust in Christ, and he believes that God
will be as good as his word, and will save him. He feels that he is
safe by virtue of his being bound up with the person and work of Jesus.

My Utmost For His Highest : "This Experience Must Come"

-/\/\-----------------------------------------------------------------
\ / MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST -- http://www.heartlight.org/
--\/------------------------------------------------------------------

August 11, 2008

THIS EXPERIENCE MUST COME

And he saw him no more.

2 Kings 2:12
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=2ki+2:12&sr=1

It is not wrong to depend upon Elijah as long as God gives him to
you, but remember the time will come when he will have to go; when he
stands no more to you as your guide and leader, because God does not
intend he should. You say - "I cannot go on without Elijah." God says
you must.

Alone at your Jordan. v.14. Jordan is the type of separation where
there is no fellowship with anyone else, and where no one can take
the responsibility for you. You have to put to the test now what you
learned when you were with your Elijah. You have been to Jordan over
and over again with Elijah, but now you are up against it alone. It
is no use saying you cannot go; this experience has come, and you
must go. If you want to know whether God is the God you have faith to
believe Him to be, then go through your Jordan alone.

Alone at your Jericho. v.15. Jericho is the place where you have seen
your Elijah do great things. When you come to your Jericho you have a
strong disinclination to take the initiative and trust in God, you
want someone else to take it for you. If you remain true to what you
learned with Elijah, you will get the sign that God is with you.

Alone at your Bethel. v.23. At your Bethel you will find yourself at
your wits' end and at the beginning of God's wisdom. When you get to
your wits' end and feel inclined to succumb to panic, don't; stand
true to God and He will bring His truth out in a way that will make
your life a sacrament. Put into practice what you learned with your
Elijah, use his cloak and pray. Determine to trust in God and do not
look for Elijah any more.

Mustard Seed Thoughts: Those Tears 1

ChristWeb.com : Mustard Seed Thoughts
Those Tears 1
By: Ron Edmondson Mustard Seed Thoughts
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? Psalm 56:8 KJV

What does the bottle look like? Do each of us have our own bottle? And, what is this book? Dont the pages get wet? I know these may seem like silly questions, but they are real to me. I want to know all I can about a God who would collect tears!

What does He do with them? Why are they so important to Him? Does He measure the size of the drops? Does He analyze the chemical makeup? Does He catch them with His hand or with the bottle? Has He ever dropped one?

The Bible talks a lot about tears. I suppose that is because tears are such a real part of life. Recently, I was watching a television program where the children grew up and left home. It is very rare that I watch TV alone my wife was with some friends and the boys were gone somewhere, so I turned on the TV. The show might have been just an ordinary show, but as the parents said goodbye to the ir children it was so sad to me that I cried! Keep in mind, I am a strong T (for thinking) on most personality profiles where the opposite is F (for feeling). I dont cry much. I guess the reality of where I'm at in life these days as a parent just hit me.

The next morning I was reminded of this verse. I wondered, did God collect those tears I shed that night? Lets talk about tears this week. Who knows, you may need to shed a few. Tears can be a wonderful thing, especially as God catches them!

FAITH AND FREEDOM

1 Timothy 4:1-4; 5:24
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=1+Timothy+4:1-4;+5:24

Dear Father,

Keep us from paying attention to seducing spirits or doctrines of
demons. Don't let the pretensions of those whose consciences are
seared invade our lives.

Let us hold that marriage is honorable and not to be forbidden.
Let us be free to eat all the foods which you have created as good.

Give us thankful hearts for what you have provided, and may we
consecrate what we eat by giving thanks.

Keep from joining into the sins of others, whether those that are
present and conspicuous or those that are hidden and will appear
later.

In the name of Jesus I ask. Amen.

WJD! -- Looking Over Jerusalem -- Mark 11:11

Looking Over Jerusalem

Jesus went into Jerusalem and went to the temple. Jesus
looked at everything in the temple area. But it was already
late. So Jesus went to Bethany with the twelve apostles.

-- Mark 11:11 (ERV)

KEY THOUGHT:
Jerusalem! The Temple! These places formed the center of Israel's
religion during Jesus' day. These were the places where Jesus was
rejected. In a bittersweet moment of joy and ominous anticipation,
Jesus looked over these cherished places of God's chosen people. Little
did the people of Jerusalem understand that a mere forty years later,
these cherished places would be destroyed. Even less did they realize
that this Jesus, the one that the powerbrokers of Jerusalem tried to
destroy, will one day return in glory. This Jesus that Jerusalem
rejected is the Son of David. He is God's Messiah, Lord, and King. He
will return in glory, honor, and power. But not on this late afternoon
as he visited Jerusalem. No, Jesus simply turned and went out to
Bethany with his twelve closest followers. The conflict waited to begin
on another day.

TODAY'S PRAYER:
O Father, please keep my heart from finding its security in a place --
a city, country, or church building. May I find my refuge in you. May I
find my hope in your Son. May I find my source of strength in your
Spirit. As precious as some places are to me, I know that my only
lasting place and lasting peace is in you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

VERSE:
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is
living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give

(2 Cor. 1:22; 5:5) and our assurance that we will see God face to
face (1 Jn. 3:1-2) and share in his glory (Col. 3:1-4). He is alive
in us and promises us life that never will end.

PRAYER:
O God and Father of all nations and races, thank you for your
guarantee that you will work in my life through the Holy Spirit and
raise me up by your Spirit's power to join you in your presence. In
Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
