Bringing Praise to God
Jesus said to him, "You can see now! You are healed because
you believed." Then the man was able to see. The man followed
Jesus, thanking God. All the people that saw this praised God
for what happened.
-- Luke 18:42-43 (ERV)
KEY THOUGHT:
The crowds knew that Jesus' acts of compassion were not to draw
attention to himself, but to bring praise to God. He lived his life to
bring honor, glory, and praise to his Father. Just as Jesus lived to
glorify God, we too, are put here to bring God glory. If our best
achievements mean our Father is praised, then we have succeeded in
life!
TODAY'S PRAYER:
Father, may all good things that I do bring you honor and praise. In
Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
