Offended Five
By: Ron Edmondson Mustard Seed Thoughts
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful Colossians 3:15 NIV

Ultimately, if you are a child of God and you are striving to be like Jesus (Children of God should always do this!) then you will want to be non-offensive in your relationships. Still, as hard as you try you will offend some people. When that happens, work to rebuild the trust and health of the relationship as best as you can. Be sure also to examine your own personality to see if you are the one that is causing offense. If its you; be open to allow God to change your heart and character.

Having said all that..IF GOD CALLS YOU TO SOMETHING.DO IT!

Too many times I see well-meaning believers, in an effort not to offend someone, refuse to step forward with Gods call on their life. Sometimes we walk on eggshells so that we wont offend anyone.

Lets be honest. The Gospel is offensive. Gods righteousness offends. Standing up for truth hurts sometimes. There will be times we will offend people just being obedient to God. We should not let that possibility keep us from being obedient. The balance of sharing truth in love is always going to be with us. We must somehow find that balance; or at least continue to try.
