Coming Soon?
The Creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. Romans 8:19 NIV
My wife and I took a walk through the neighborhood recently. What a glorious day the Lord had made! The sun was shining bright through what started as a cloudy day. There seemed to be an inexpressible joy bursting out of each ray of light. God was so evident all around.
As we walked, we would point to a dogwood and marvel at its beauty. Then we would see a row of tulips in full bloom and quickly change our attention. We both took notice of the beautiful azalea bushes scattered throughout the yards. I had never seen such pure white flowers in all my life. They were nearly perfect. God, you certainly know what you're doing!
Last Fall, when the trees were full of colors, I remember making the comment to my wife that the colors were more vibrant than I have ever known. During our recent walk, I made the same observation. My wife agreed. Have we been missing somethi ng, or are the colors better, brighter, more glorious than ever before?
Could it be; do you think it is possible, that Creation is improving all the more because it knows the day of His return is soon at hand? The Bible says that Creation is groaning in anticipation. What started as a perfect display of His splendor was subject to decay at the fall of man. Now, as we near His second coming, just perhaps Creation is making itself more fully known, anxious to see Jesus return to this Earth!
I don't know, but based on the Creation I'm seeing lately, He may be coming soon!
