Desperation
By: Ron Edmondson Mustard Seed Thoughts
O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you. 2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV

Sometimes things happen in life that we cannot explain. There are times that seem to make no sense. We can try to add reason to them, but it is of no use. Logic just won't prevail in certain situations.

Those are the exact times when we need God! Those are the times where we must seek His truth, His wisdom, and His direction. Those are the times we place our eyes upon Him!

After a devestating tornado struck our town, I watched with amazement the reaction of those most affected. People seemed to be calling on the Lord with fervency. The churches were a more popular gathering place. Pastors seemed to garner more respect. Individuals were publicly thanking God for their health and life. That was the story of natural disasters and other tragedies we have watched around the world in the last decade.

When we face times where we are desperate; feel helpless and all alone, those are the times we need a Savior! I guess my question now, however, is: Isn't that day of desperation everyday?

When we are weak, then He is strong!
