Your Move
When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies live at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 NIV
I know you don't have any enemies. You don't have anyone in your life that rubs you the wrong way. There are no difficult people in your life. You have no co-workers who are just plain hard to work with. Do you?
Many of us, like me, have a hard time finding patience for some personalities. I can think of some characters with which I have a hard time just being civil. I know this seems very non-Christian like, but it seems that we are simply different people. Our very natures seem to clash every time we meet, almost like we were enemies.
God said it doesn't have to be like that. He said that if we will please the Lord, then He will MAKE even our enemies live at peace with us. (We please the Lord when we love Him with all our hearts and obey His perfect plan.)
Wow! That's a pretty powerful promise, if you think about it. All those impossible people, all those people who make our skin crawl, all those enemies can actually be made our friends through the mercy of God. God says He will give peace to the relationship.
Do you have someone in your life with whom you could use God's intervention? Is there some way you could use His blessing of peace? Do you need the Lord to settle a dispute or take over a relationship?
God, the Creator, Grantor and Sustainer of Peace is willing to step in and administer His perfect plan to those who please Him.
The next step is up to you!
