Nothing Too Difficult
Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:26-27 NIV
Do yourself a favor! Spend some time reflecting on this question: Is anything too hard for Him?
You see, if you reflect on who God is and what He can accomplish, the trials and obstacles of life will seem less earth-shattering. Those pressures you have been handling will seem less of a burden when placed in the hands of an Almighty God.
One night when my son was six, shortly after putting him to bed, I was summoned back into his room. He was afraid. He really didn't know what of, but he knew he was afraid. As a good father, I quickly reminded him that he had nothing to fear. God is watching over him, and God cares intimately for him. I even went as far as to tell him that if he is afraid, he is essentially telling God that God can't take care of him.
So you're never afraid, Daddy? my son asked innocently.Well, no. Of course I'm afraid sometimes, but when I am, I remind myself just what I told you, I cleverly responded.
I prayed for him and left his room. I went into the den and reflected on who God is. Yes, my son was right. I do have fears, lots of them. I do get afraid many times, so I must constantly reflect on who God is. He is the maker of all things. There is nothing He cannot do. I can trust Him completely, with my bills, my relationships, my work, and my health. There is no problem too big or too small. God can do anything!
So take some time and reflect on who God is. He cares for you, and there is nothing He can't do!
