Man of Law 5
I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He. Deuteronomy 32:3-4 NIV
This week we have considered the man Moses, specifically trying to figure out what made him successful in his walk with God. We have seen that Moses accepted God as God; realizing that there is no other. No one compares to God. Because of this truth, Moses learned to trust God in everything. Moses fully relied upon God as His source of strength. In a radio broadcast recently the Lord directed me to say that Moses recognized the authority of God, the practicality of God and the relevance of God. (Folks, that will also preach!)
Then we saw that Moses, having believed God and trusted him in every way, began to take on the character of God. He became a lover of people; all people. To conclude this series I want us to see one more thing about the spiritual maturity of Moses. Moses loved to tell people about God and His goodness!
To be very honest, I have never met a person who was sincere in their love of the Lord, and was growing spiritually, who didnt want to share their love of Christ with others. Excitement in Jesus Christ is contagious!
Do you love telling the Good News of Jesus to others? Are you willing to be a vessel God can use to lead others to Him? Are you excited enough about your faith that you are willing to get out of your comfort zone and tell someone what you believe about Jesus? If Wal Mart started giving stuff away today, youd be quick to call your closest friends so they wouldnt miss out, wouldnt you? Shouldnt that even be more so when it comes to telling about the free gift of Gods grace? After all, we are dealing with eternal issues!
Moses was a man of God with great success in his spiritual life. We can learn from his example as we continue to grow up in Christ. Lor d, help us to be willing to grow in You.
