Act in Faith
By: Ron Edmondson Mustard Seed Thoughts
Jonathon said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, let's go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised fellows. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few. 1 Samuel 14:6 NIV

Jonathon was not afraid to go forward, because he had confidence in the one who had sent him!

We know from the scriptures that Jonathon was not only a good friend of David's, but was also capable of exhibiting great faith. Jonathon trusted God, and like David, hated the name of God to be denounced.

Jonathon tells his armor-bearer to go forward. Now this young soldier had to obey, but he didn't have to go willingly. (see tomorrow to see how he reacts) Jonathon tells his servant that God cannot be hindered! Whether the enemies are many or few, God's power is not diminished one bit!

The same is true for us today! Whether you are pennies in debt or billions, you can't scare God away with the number. If you have t old a white lie or committed multiple murders, God will still save you. There is no obstacle, no sin, no barrier to God's love for you! Nothing can stop Him from saving all who will call upon His name!

Act on the size faith that Jonathon had! Move forward knowing that nothing can stop God!

NOTHING!
